| Nature is a wonder. Children are the most interesting part of that wonder. They are the source of dreams for their mothers. But the dreams and expectations that mothers have about their children sometimes get blurred. Mother earth is burdened with such blurred expectations and dream.
If a child is crippled, dump, blind or mentally retarded, parents, till they live, will look after such children. But what will be the further of such children after their dear parents are dead and gone? We, as socially responsible adults, decided that we should do something
about this. That is why we founded the Sahana Foundation.

Based on General objectives of the Organization and to realize the Action plan it is now proposed to establish A school for Disable and Mentally Retarded Children from age 5 to 14 years.
These disciples in the school will be taught with communication skills (writing and reading), social behavior and appropriate subject knowledge in health, religion mathematics, science, dancing, music ballet, drama etc. depending on their capacity for perception.
In addition to these general knowledge disciples will have the option to be traines in a Vocation after they reach 14 years of age, at the 'Vocational Training Center, to be established in near future under the action plan. |
